Should Western Reporters SKIP Beijing Olympics?

The Nationalism sweeping across China, the Political Education Program (torture and abuse) in Tibet's capital are disturbing trends as the Soiled and Spoiled 2008 Beijing Olympics approach. Futher, the ridiculous, radical over reaction of Chinese to Jack Cafferty's honest assessment of China and it's products should give reporters contemplating covering the Summer Olympics serious cause for pause. Secret police tails can be expected, your every move shadowed by a low level government weasel keeping and eye on everything you do, looking for any reason what so ever to detain you, torture you and deport you. God forbid you are accused of divulging State Secrets...a vague term used to sentence people to interminal punishments or years at slave labor. Perhaps Reuters, the AP, CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS and other major news organizations should simply SKIP THE OLYMPICS, cover the story from the safety of a desk at the home office, or a laptop sitting on your coffee table as you watch the action unfold on TV.

Conference Ponders Beijing Olympics Challenge For Reporters

From AP:

Secret police tails. Reprimands or perhaps even expulsion for writing about topics sensitive for the Chinese Communist Party. Propaganda apparatchiks working overtime to stifle negative news.

These were some of the grim scenarios painted Friday at a Paris conference sponsored by press freedom groups about conditions that foreign reporters might face at the Beijing Olympics this August.

China’s viewpoint was not heard: The two-day meeting’s organizers said Beijing Games officials, the International Olympic Committee, leading sports manufacturers and NBC, which holds the U.S. rights to broadcast the Olympics, declined or did not respond to invitations.

Breaking News...Has China Blocked CNN Access in China

In breaking news, rumor has it out on the net that China has taken the bold step of blocking CNN's signals in China...true or not, not sure, we'll just have to wait and see. China is pretty insecure if their citizens and Government freak out over Jack Cafferty's comments...talk about balless wonders! What's next Jiang Yu, going to send one of your Kung Fu girls over to my house to kick my laptop? Going to send your Lady Boys from Anti CNN after me, are they going to attack my blog? shaking head...you folks are truly pathetic.

The Tibetan Truth China Does Not Want World To See

We have all heard the PROPAGANDA coming out of China as the Beijing Olympics approach, have even heard our own ass munch President George W. Bush callously claim that the Olympics is JUST A SPORTING EVENT...let him defend that after watching Chinese soldiers shooting Tibetans in the back. But then, considering Cheney's hunting prowess, maybe George W. Bush will find it amusing...he is after all one sick twisted fuck.

Lenovo and Coke Tell Torch To Shove It...Olympic Coke Laptops For Sale Cheap

Two of the biggest corporate sponsors of China's Flame of Shame have taken the high road and begged out of their contract to sponsor the China Torch Relay...can you blame them? Rumor has it that the co-created Coca Cola Lap Tops are now available at a reduced price...hey Lenovo and Coke, in honor of your making the right decision, here is a FREE BLOG ADVERTISEMENT. I hope other bloggers follow suit and plug your products. By the way, any chance this America blogger could get his hands on one? I love Coca Cola!

Lenovo releases Coke-themed F20 laptop in China

Even though the U.S. government may want nothing to do with its computers, Lenovo's still got so much love for the red, white, and blue that it's releasing a special-edition notebook branded with one of the most recognizable American icons: everyone's favorite tooth-decaying soft drink. Oddly enough, the company's Coca Cola-red, Pentium M-powered F20 was designed in honor of the 2008 Olympic Games -- which are not only two years away, but taking place in China, and not the U.S. (where was this lappy in 1996 when the Games were held in Coke's hometown of Atlanta?). Anyway, besides the snazzy paint job and stick-on Olympic rings, this version of the F20 is pretty much your run-of-the-mill 12.1-inch laptop, sporting an ULV 1.66GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, integrated graphics, an 80GB hard drive, and all the ports, wireless radios, and card readers you've come to expect from notebooks these days. Obviously priced in yuan, this model is going for the equivalent of $1,575, but since Lenovo knows that you can't possibly resist drinking a Coke while you're using this machine, they're throwing in some of that high-tech Batmobile-style armor plating on the house.

Olympics-China-Persecution of Falun Gong-Boycott Only Makes Sense

The torture and oppression of the Tibetan people is not China's only Human Rights abuse issue...perhaps you should educate yourselves about their torture of those who practice Falun Gong before deciding to support this oppressive monster by attending the Beijing Olympics...face it, CNN's Jack Cafferty was being nice in his comments...sure if Jiang Yu could arrange it, she'd love to imprison him for his insolence and torture him. Could you fall victim to China's Brutal Regime while in Beijing for simply speaking your mind?

Falun Gong Deaths Escalate as Olympics Approach

Chinese authorities “strike hard” at the group, victims dying within days of arrest

The Falun Dafa Information Center is alarmed at a series of reports indicating adherents in China are being killed in custody within days, or even hours, of being detained by authorities. The Center expressed today that the escalating maltreatment is a direct result of efforts to “stamp out” Falun Gong prior to the summer Olympics.
